GLITTERING GOLD

Ever since its discovery, Gold has attracted women and adventurers alike.

The GOLD RUSH, in which White men practically ran for it in Alaska, in North America is part of history. The law enabled any one to dig the soil and take gold. In India, if I find gold, while excavating my own land,  I must hand it over to the Government.

Even the religious book Bhagavat Puran speaks about the Lord Krishna decked in gold ornaments from the head to the heels! Women wear it even inside the petty coat where no one can see it!

If a woman is offered free gold ornaments, as much as she can physically carry on her body and walk ten miles, she will probably carry a weight of ten KG and fall dead on the way!

Our  Kerala State has the maximum number of jewelry shops per square mile in India. The film idol Mohanlal, selling “Malabar Gold” is the most popular ad in TV channels.

When you buy gold, it becomes a dead investment. Now you can deposit it in the bank and earn interest. Or, give gold and borrow money at cheap interest rate. This I learned, while trying to raise money for building my house in rural Keralam, at Chathakudam.

No wonder robbers prefer gold, as women offer easier target.

CASTE IS IN OUR BLOOD

The communists have now discovered that religion and caste play a role in electoral politics. It is wonderful that they have now found this out. When they were winning elections, they never bothered about it. Pinarayi Vijayan found it easy to befriend Madani, charged with terrorist links.

All parties want reservation in educational institutions. Why? Because, if they oppose it, they will lose votes. Now they want reservation based on backward class basis. Even a definition of backwardness is not available. So a new phrase “creamy layer” is introduced. And yet, they are still debating debating whether caste should be mentioned in the census.

Even the Supreme Court is not free from this double standard.

I am for elimination of religion and caste from politics. Then there should not be any reservation based on these, whether for elections (Why is there scheduled caste reservation for Members of Parliament?) or for Medical and Engineering seats.

Dress must not indicate religion. That is why secular France objects to Sardarji’s turban.

Can we do it?

Even names should not show the tail: namboodiri, menon, yadav etc. Is it possible?

Then stop all this bull shit.

Indians are religious and caste conscious. Nothing can change this!

STOP ATOMIC POWER – CONCENTRATE ON SOLAR AND WIND ENERGY

With the commissioning of the solar power plant, capable of producing 3MW electricity, at Yelesandra village in Kolar district of Karnataka, India can stop producing costly electricity in poisonous Atomic Power Stations.

We should concentrate on wind power which is already a big success in Tamilnadu. Rajasthan offers a good chance for both solar and wind power.

Funds can be transferred from CHANDRAYAN which is a waste of money.
