THERE IS SUBURBAN TRAIN SERVICE IN DELHI

THERE IS SUBURBAN TRAIN SERVICE IN DELHI

I happened to see it casually , while waiting for my train at Nizamudin Station. Once I travelled in it. It is cheap and connects several places in a circular path. There is no crowd . Vegetable venders and milk men use it. They are unable to travel in bus. Some places , difficult to approach , lie in its route

Is there any way to increase the number of trains?

DELHI

DELHI

It is more than a month , since we came to Delhi.

My wife is quite well and cooks food , make tea for me etc. She walks round the blocks of flats in the society. Here, upper middle class people (UMP) lie in societies , with walls and gates with watchmen . The LMP live in gullies and the poor people like rickshawallas live I slums , below flyovers etc. There are barbers for the last categories , who come in the street with a chair and mirror and tools for hair cutting etc. The customer sits in the chair and pays only Rs. Fifteen or something . There are tea shops for such men in tin sheds.

Daily trainloads of uneducated men come from Bengal , Bihar , UP etc. to become rickshawallas. They Com by local trains . The fare is dirt cheap.

The National Capital is bursting at the seams!

THE METRO STATION WILL BE VERY NEAR

THE METRO STATION WILL BE VERY NEAR

Every day I go for a walk in the garden in front of our house, here In Delhi. The end of the walk is near the Metro Station still under construction. I do not know when it will be ready . It is near the Dussera maidan where the effigy of Ravan will be burnt in October.

We can just walk to the Station

At the end of the walk , I buy a tender coconut  for my wife ; It is full of the sweet water , with no kernel!

CONDITION OF BONDED LABOUR IN DELHI

CONDITION OF BONDED LABOUR IN DELHI

A news channel has shown video of workers living in inhuman conditions in ghettos in the capital .There is only one latrine for 30 families , waiting in line for the morning . The rooms are continuous without windows . Workers are from Bihar and Nepal . They are given only part payments every day , so that they are unable to get away from the clutches of the employer . No one is getting minimum wages .

Modi is busy inviting industrialists to invest here .Will he tell them to provide better living conditions for the workers?

SNAPS FROM MY LIFE-bed tea

SNAPS FROM MY LIFE-bed tea

After marriage , I used to enjoy the bed tea.

Times changed and she became aged. My daughter Leena began to scold me:”Papa , why don’t you make tea?”

Then it became my habit , to make tea and go to the computer.

Now in Delhi , Sudha wakes me up with hot tea!

HAIR CUT IN DELHI

HAIR CUT IN DELHI

My daughter took me to a ‘men’s beauty parlour ‘, as my hair and beard had grown much beyond tolerable limit. It is only walk able distance from here. The barber cut my hair very short , using the machine and then began shaving the beard. He did it again and again , till I got tired.

Then I asked for massaging the scalp. This is something I always enjoyed . In the south , they do not do it. Here he massaged first by the hand and then by the machine. This machine we can use ourselves at home . It relieves tension and induces sleep.

When Sudha was in the tenth standard , she used to smear castor oil (available in bottles)in my scalp and rub for fifteen minutes ,when English news was read in the All India Radio at 9 PM every day.
