Blasts in the IOC petrol storage tanks at Jaipur, was caused by their own staff, to erase evidence, about their complicity in illegally syphoning off petrol and selling it to unscupulous elements, according to police sourses.
People in the neighbourhood are still suffering from the ill effects of burning such huge quantities of oil, not to speak of the monetary loss, amounting to millions of rupees. Lack of periodic inspections and fire fighting equipment at the site etc. are reasons for the magnitude of the trajedy. Everywhere this is the situation.
Boats capsising in water, people dying, while crossing the railway track, buildings collapsing while under construction, students crushed by their own school bus ; the list is unending. We are shocked only when the loss is too high.
